Alternative Testing Policy

The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides proctored testing services for students when one or more the following criteria are met.

    • A student has a documented disability and is eligible for specific approved testing accommodation(s)

    • A student has an approved excused absence from class on the date of the scheduled test. Approval must be granted by the professor of the class, or appropriate school official.

    • A student is taking a Challenge exam to attempt to earn college credit; or retaking an ACCUPLACER exam. Approval must be granted in advance through the appropriate office.

    • Other requests are reviewed and granted on a case-by-case basis

Once approval has been granted by the professor, you need to make an appointment to take the exam in the ASC. Email Becky Kraus at Please provide the name of the class and professor, and the preferred time and date for the exam. You will receive an email confirming the appointment.
