Alternative Testing Policy

The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides proctored testing services for students when one or more the following criteria are met.

    • A student has a documented disability and is eligible for specific approved testing accommodation(s)

    • A student has an approved excused absence from class on the date of the scheduled test. Approval must be granted by the professor of the class, or appropriate school official.

    • A student is taking a Challenge exam to attempt to earn college credit; or retaking an ACCUPLACER exam. Approval must be granted in advance through the appropriate office.

    • Other requests are reviewed and granted on a case-by-case basis

Students:

Once approval has been granted by the professor, you need to make an appointment to take the exam in the ASC. Email Becky Kraus at bkraus@emmaus.edu. Please provide the name of the class and professor, and the preferred time and date for the exam. You will receive an email confirming the appointment.

Faculty:

Please email Becky Kraus with exam details: what type of exam it is (Scantron, Schoology, Paper exam), along with a copy of the exam, if needed; any instructions regarding the exam – time limit, resources allowed, etc.
