Last day to sign-up is this coming Friday. You don’t have to pay to participate in Winterfest, but you do have to pay if you’d like to go skiing on Friday, $25. Please stop by the table if you have any questions, and if you haven’t already, be sure to sign-up by Friday at lunch!

MLK Service Day Event

posted Jan 14, 2020, 6:16 AM by Erica Chavez

The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 20, 2020, marks the 25th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

This year Emmaus is partnering with United Way to provide opportunities for our students to serve in our community. Our service day event will run from 8 AM - 12 PM (4 hours) of community service in our local community on Monday, January 20th.

Stop by the MLK Service Day table during lunch the rest of this week to sign-up for this event.
